Mr Mika Saarinen is Head of Unit for the Vocational Education and Training Unit at the Centre for International Mobility and
Cooperation CIMO in Finland. He has worked for over fifteen years for the National Agency and he has participated in conducting
surveys, writing guides and manuals as well as lecturing widely within the field of international cooperation and education. Mr.
Saarinen’s experience spans both international development work and student mobility in the EU-programmes and beyond. Most
recently his interest has particularly been towards the impact of the EU programmes, notably also the skills and competences
gained through international experiences. Mika has a master’s degree within theoretical philosophy and he also has done further
studies in international politics and adult education.
