Brief descprition

The EUM consortium entered into partnership agreement with Siena European Capital of Culture 2019 candidate city. Siena’s proposal mainly aims at responding to major economic and social needs of the city, such as: creating new job opportunities through the development of a cultural and creative industry at international level, ability to attract investments, open new markets for the territory and give new vitality to a new business generation; implementing new welfare strategies based on the correlation between culture and health, also via the relaunch and the optimization of the Santa Maria della Scala museum complex, which represents one of the most ancient and successful examples of care and cultural hub. The proposal is also aimed at highlighting the main aspects of open democracy and responsible economy in order to provide the city and its territory with an example of renewal of the citizenship pact and to conceive a new participation strategy to use as ground for economic and social growth in the future.
