The Europembobiltiy peer-learning club gives experts and practitioners in mobility the chance to exchange on quality assurance in practical learning mobility. The aim is to create a mutual learning experience and to allow exchange between practitioners in mobility from different educational sectors.
In January 2014 the first peer-learning club started its activity.

What are your benefits?
As a member of the Europemobility peer-learning club you can exchange with other mobility coordinators about best practices in organizing learning mobility. The basis is the “Quality Development Tool” which provides insight in the state of the art of quality assurance and relevant quality criteria in mobility. With the tool you can indicate your peer-learning priorities you want to deal with. It is planned that every participant identifies his own action plan on how to adapt/improve one aspect of quality assurance in learning mobility. The group can help you to realize this action by giving feedback, exchanging experiences and best practices. Furthermore, engaging in the peer-learning activity allows you to establish useful contacts, which might turn into strategic partnerships (e.g. funded by the ERASMUS+ programme) at the end.
What is expected from you?
1) Active participation in the on-line kick off meeting (planned for each peer-learning club);
2) Active participation in follow up on-line meetings: there are 3 follow up on-line meetings foreseen, 1 each month. Each on-line meeting is planned to last approx. 90 minutes
3) Active participation in the online platform of the peer learning community on this website (http://www.europemobility.eu) to share your action plans and experiences with peers in between the online
This means, to join the peer learning groups, you…
● are involved in the organisation and management of mobility, or you have contact with other colleagues in your organisation who are involved;
● are familiar with the principles and working of quality assurance;
● are in the position to propose recommendations for improvement or development of your quality assurance system for mobility;
● are able to join the online meetings from a technical point of view (internet connection, being able to use adobe connect and/ or skype)
● have filled in the Quality Development Tool (see steps below)
● commit yourself to attend the 4 online peer learning group meetings; the new peer-learning clubs will start in February 2014, kick-off meeting on 21-02-2014 at 10.00 am
What are the initial steps to start our peer-learning club?
The Europemobility team has developed a “Quality Development Tool”, which helps you to assess the status quo of the quality of a mobility programme of your organisation your are involved in. The tool consists of a questionnaire, which we ask you to complete. It is mainly an exercise of self-awareness. However in this questionnaire we also ask you about your peer-learning priorities, that means which area of quality assurance are you most interested. This is the area of your learning mobility programme in which you want to develop. The EUM team will propose membership in peer-learning groups based on your peer-learning priorities. In the same time you can regard it as a “warm-up” for the peer-learning club.

What will happen after the start of the peer learning club?
1) The on-line kick-off meeting will be used to define the roadmap of the peer-learning club.
2) You will use the time until the next (2nd) on-line meeting to identify good practices in the key area(s) of your peer-learning club. The 2nd on-line meeting will be used to share and discuss those good practices.
3) You will develop an action plan for your own context to further develop the quality of your practical learning mobility programme until the next (3rd) on-line meeting. The 3rd on-line meeting will be used to present and discuss (critical friend approach) the action plans.
4) You will try to implement your action plan and the next 1-2 online meetings will be used to share progress and get feedback and support from your peer learners in the implementation of your action plan.
5) In a wrap-up or follow-up meeting we invite you to share future plans. Maybe some of you want to continue the quality development for example in the framework of an ERASMUS+ partnership project. Anyway the EUM on-line community allows you to stay in touch with your peer-learners after the end of the peer learning group activity.
